GOSA Global is the worldwide community of alumni from Ghana Senior High School, Koforidua (GHANASS) — the Beacon of the East. Founded in 1943, our alma mater has produced generations of leaders across politics, law, media, sports, and academia. We are united by the motto “Pro Patria” (For Our Fatherland) and our commitment to uplifting the school and its students.

Our Story & Mission
Originally founded as Phoenix College in 1943 by Fred Addae and Francis Adjei-Tetebo with just sixteen boys, Ghana Senior High School has grown into one of the nation's most respected institutions in Koforidua, Eastern Region. Known affectionately as “The Beacon of the East,” the school sits on a 1,100-acre residential campus and educates over 3,700 students today.
GOSA Global is committed to supporting our alma mater through infrastructure development, scholarship programs, and mentorship initiatives. With chapters across the world, we carry forward the school's proud slogan: Beacon! Shine!

Justice Issifu Omoro Tanko Amadu
Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana
Justice Issifu Omoro Tanko Amadu is a distinguished Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana. A proud alumnus of Ghana Senior High School, Koforidua, he has dedicated his career to the pursuit of justice and the rule of law in Ghana. His elevation to the highest court in the land is a testament to the calibre of leaders GHANASS produces.
Abeiku Santana
Media Personality & Tourism Ambassador
Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana, popularly known as Abeiku Santana, is one of Ghana's most celebrated media personalities and entrepreneurs. An alumnus of GHANASS, he has become a Tourism Ambassador for Ghana and a household name in Ghanaian media through his dynamic broadcasting career.
Kurt Okraku
President of the Ghana Football Association
Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku is the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA). A proud product of Ghana Senior High School, he has risen to lead Ghana's football governing body, driving reforms and development in Ghanaian football both domestically and on the international stage.
Gloria Sarfo
Actress & Media Personality
Gloria Sarfo is a celebrated Ghanaian actress and media personality. An alumna of GHANASS, she has made a significant impact in the Ghanaian movie industry and entertainment scene, starring in numerous productions and becoming a beloved figure in Ghanaian pop culture.
Professor Lydia Aziato
Vice Chancellor, University of Health and Allied Sciences
Professor Lydia Aziato is a distinguished academic who served as Dean of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Ghana before being appointed Vice Chancellor of the University of Health and Allied Sciences. Her work in healthcare education is helping shape the future of medical training in Ghana.
Ohemaa Mercy
Gospel Musician
Ohemaa Mercy is one of Ghana's most beloved gospel musicians. An alumna of Ghana Senior High School, she has used her powerful voice and ministry to inspire millions across Ghana and beyond, becoming a leading figure in the Ghanaian gospel music scene.
